Although coronavirus has disproportionately affected Black and Latinx communities in the U.S., advocacy promoting these communities to be among the first vaccinated has been met with hesitancy and suspicion due to past issues of racism, exploitation, and malpractice, including the notorious Tuskegee Institute experiments.
