New York Tech Votes: National Voter Registration Day

September 22, 2020
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Join with your New York Tech friends and colleagues, as well as students from colleges across the country, as we help register voters for the upcoming November election on National Voter Registration Day!

National Voter Registration Day is an annual event celebrating democracy. Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they missed a registration deadline, failed to update their registration, or didn't know how to register.

As a college with students from dozens of countries, our community recognizes the privilege of voting and embraces the responsibility of empowering people to use their political voices to affect change. This is why we participate in the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a national program encouraging colleges and universities to increase student voting rates.

On September 22, volunteers will register to vote and provide them with information on political institutions, organizations, and activities. We will also provide our volunteers with information on future civic engagement activities and how to remain involved throughout the 2020 election.
