Please join New York Tech School of Management for the In Reality Podcast’s second live simulcast event, titled “Unlocking Opportunities for Job Seekers and Employers in the Digital Age.” Guest speakers will discuss the latest trends shaping the digital job market, share insights into effective career planning strategies, and offer innovative approaches to talent acquisition and workforce development.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a welcome and remarks by Maria Themistocleous-Frey, CEO and founder of Executive Consultants of New York, Corp. A networking opportunity follows at 7:30 p.m.

She has been a key leader affiliated with the ECNY Foundation and CareerMapLI.Org.

Themistocleous-Frey has been creating innovative curricula to help job seekers since 2010. She has presented her programs nationally and internationally for municipalities, universities, and government economic development agencies. And she has been honored with a number of awards and recognitions, including the 2022 and 2023 Best of Long Island awards for Best Resume Service and Best Business Coach Service. She has received the Kennedy Women of Distinction Award as well as the Long Island Power Women Award.

Deborah Y. Cohn, Ph.D., M.Phil., (M.B.A. '89)

Interim Dean and Professor, School of Managment

Deborah Y. Cohn, Ph.D. earned her MBA from New York Tech in 1989. In 2009 when she returned as a marketing faculty, she felt like she was coming home. She was appointed as interim dean of the university's School of Management in 2021. Her previous roles include tenured professor of marketing, associate dean of faculty affairs, chair of School Personnel Committee, member of the School's Impact committee, and Director of its Professional Enrichment (PE) Program. Before joining the university in 2009, she spent 12 years in academia at various business schools in the U.S..

John Rebecchi

Podcast Host and Event Moderator

John Rebecchi (M.B.A. '83), Ph.D.

Founder of Strategy + Culture Consulting

John Rebecchi spent nearly 40 years as a senior business executive and entrepreneur in the printing and packaging industries. He is now a business consultant focused on marketing and business strategy. In addition to receiving an M.B.A. from New York Tech, he has a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University.

Rebecchi joined the School of Management’s Business Advisory Board to help ensure that the school’s business courses give students the critical thinking, decision-making, and research skills needed for successful careers. In 2019, he provided funding to support the School of Management’s Professional Enrichment Program. He's now the host and co-executive producer of the School of Management podcast Lessons from Leaders and Entrepreneurs, conducting interviews with thought leaders, entrepreneurs from startups to multinational companies, and experts in fields shaping the future of business.
