Two food giants have joined forces on a catering adventure. NYIT alumna Andrea Correale (B.P.S. ’92), president and founder of catering company Elegant Affairs, and celebrity chef and restaurateur David Burke have partnered on a new business venture—David Burke Off-Premise Catering. The company will offer full-service catering for residential and corporate events, including weddings and corporate and social gatherings.
Correale has more than 20 years in the catering business. She founded Elegant Affairs upon graduating in 1992 and hasn’t looked back since. Her business has grown to become one of the most sought-after catering companies on Long Island and Manhattan.
She has catered events for a number of celebrities and has made several television appearances, including CBS New York, Good Day New York, and News 12 Long Island.
Burke is the owner of Tavern 62 and Woodpecker in New York City; BLT Prime in Washington, D.C.; and Drifthouse in Sea Bright, N.J. He plans to open two new spots in The Garden City Hotel in Garden City, N.Y.
