New Brief: Architecture Student Work Selected for Juried Exhibition

The work of five NYIT School of Architecture and Design students will be on display at the 2018 Design Communication Association Biennial Juried Exhibition at the Martha Van Rensselaer Gallery at Cornell University from October 1 through 11.

“As a selected presenter on my paper, “Solid, Surface, Space: Inter-scaler Tomography in Variable Framework,” at the Design Communication Association (DCA) conference this fall, I was invited to submit up to 10 drawings of student work for consideration in the DCA Biennial Juried Exhibition,” said Associate Professor Naomi Frangos. “These five out of 10 submitted drawings were selected from 271 entries, of which 106 were chosen via a blind review process by a distinguished panel of seven jurors in the field of design graphics and communication.”

The students are from Frangos’ 2017-2018 thesis studio, Variable Typologies: An Infrastructural Organism Urbanizing Los Angeles and her fabrication and prototyping course, Variable Flexible Formwork.
