MTRE 700 Research Elective 4 College of Osteopathic Med
This four-week elective provides students with the opportunity to participate in an elective in which they can further explore a research interest of their choosing with approval from the Office of Clinical Education and the Office of Research. This elective experience may be utilized for a research project previously approved with assistance from the Sr. Director of Research and may also be utilized to complete requirements for certificate programs.

MTRE 801 Research II 4 College of Osteopathic Med
These 4 week clerkships allow students the opportunity to participate in clinical research. The settings can run the gamut from campus to clinics and hospitals.

MTRE 810 Academic Medicine 4 College of Osteopathic Med
The Academic Medicine elective consists of 4 weeks of dedicated study structured to enhance the learner's skills in educational theory, teaching techniques, and/or academic program planning as part of a foundation for a potential career in academic medicine. A designated faculty member will serve as preceptor and mentor in the endeavor. Prior to the beginning of the rotation, the student will submit a description of an academic project, including a brief list of learning objectives he/she expects to achieve. At the end of the elective, the student will submit a brief (1-2 page) report on how successful the experience was at helping him/her to achieve the identified goals.
