The Virtual 5k Run is an opportunity for the entire New York Tech community to come together to stay active, celebrate the Class of 2020, and pay tribute to our frontline healthcare workers.

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race is a race that can be run from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, or on a track. This means you get to run your own race, at your own pace, time it yourself, and practice safe social distancing!

How far do I have to run?

This race is a 5K (3.1 miles) run.

How can I track my run?

We recommend using Map My Run a mobile app that tracks your pace, time, distance and much more!

When do I have to run?

You have until June 1st to submit your run,

How do I submit my run?

Unfortunately the Virtual 5k has ended, join us next time!

When/Where will I see the results?

The results will be posted June 2nd here on this page. There will be six categories of winners, Fastest Female Student, Fastest Male Student, Fastest Female Alumni, Fastest Male Alumni, FastestFemale Faculty/Staff, and FastestMale Faculty/Staff.
