Variable Typologies – An Infrastructural Organism Urbanizing Los Angeles

April 16, 2019 - May 3, 2019

Education Hall, Center Gallery
Long Island, NY

Maria R. Perbellini, Dean of NYIT School of Architecture and Design, invites you to this exhibition. Naomi Frangos, associate professor of architecture at NYIT School of Architecture and Design, presents the work produced from her 2017-18 B.Arch fifth year design thesis studio. Through the agency of mapping, this studio studies theories on urbanism and disparate urban situations in Los Angeles to challenge object-oriented ontology by exploring variable architectural typologies that could accommodate multiple sites, ecologies, topologies, and scales.
