Painting With Light with Progetto Arte Poli

June 21, 2022
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Progetto Arte Poli’s Anna Pighi shares the beauty of stained glass, walking participants through historic spaces that capture our hearts. In this beautiful and inspiring presentation, she will also share how painting in light through stained glass is used today in new ways. This amazing tradition is presented in Progetto Arte Poli's modern studio using age-old techniques.

This presentation is part of an exclusive series of webinars brought to New York Tech students, faculty, and staff by Progetto Arte Poli, an Italian studio inspired by the Renaissance workshops. The studio’s artists and curators share how today, as in the past, different techniques coexist and intertwine with today’s technology and materials to create and sustain unique works.

In the series, you’ll witness how the studio's masters of crafts develop ideas, choose materials, and restore historical artifacts. You’ll go behind the scenes at some of the most iconic cultural landmarks around the world to see the design process from concept to choice of materials to installation, and the importance of history to sustainability and the future. Become inspired by the many interesting career opportunities that exist in this realm—in art and design, architecture, engineering, communications, and more.

This unique opportunity to see how Progetto Arte Poli creates and restores artwork in an array of media, including artistic stained glass windows, mosaic art, fresco paintings, sculpture, and wrought iron is brought to you by the Office of Real Estate Development and Sustainable Capital Planning.
