Community Engagement Day at Blue Umbrella Experience

Join us for an alumni and friends Community Engagement Day event with Blue Umbrella Experience in Smithtown, N.Y. on Saturday, April 13.

Every year in honor of Community Engagement Day, New York Tech alumni, students, and staff are encouraged to volunteer and support local area nonprofit groups. This year, we are thrilled to partner with Blue Umbrella Experience, a 501c3 located in Smithtown, whose mission is to provide inclusive, accessible, and affordable post-education classes and social experiences to students of all abilities and skill levels.

We will join together to host a karaoke and pizza social event with the students of Blue Umbrella.

We kindly ask alumni attending to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Bear Bytes food pantry as well. Those who do will be entered into a raffle to win some New York Tech swag.

We encourage alumni volunteers to bring guest to also volunteer with this wonderful group; however, we ask that you register in advance so we know to expect you. Community Engagement Day t-shirts will be provided to all participants, while supplies last.
