Yunlong Shao is an assistant professor of computer science at New York Tech's Vancouver campus. He obtained his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) in 2018. He loves teaching and speaking with students through joyful moments. His research background in wireless communication and cybersecurity makes him confident in teaching a wide range of courses at the graduate level. He also enjoys designing teaching curriculum and course content. He is a winner of Instructure's 2022 Educator of the Year Award, one of six outstanding educators in North America recognized and the only one in Canada.
