Tricia Napolitano joined New York Tech as associate dean of students for the Long Island and New York City campuses in March 2021 after serving as associate dean of students at Alfred University since 1996. At AU, she supervised student activities, student diversity and inclusion, the student leadership center, new student orientation, academic support and disability services and career services. In her various roles at AU she was a valued contributor on many divisional and university-wide committees and seen as someone with a good understanding of the "big picture" regarding institutional dynamics and operations. She built a reputation for personalized face-to-face interactions with all campus constituencies. In addition to her work on campus, she is involved professionally in the field of student affairs. She has served on the NASPA Region II Board since 2018 and currently serves as the regional awards coordinator. She also is involved in the annual regional conferences and is co-chairing the conference set for June 2022.

She serves on the school board of Alfred Almond Central School and is treasurer for the Alfred Almond Community Chest that annually raises funds for community agencies and nonprofits. In addition, she is a founding member of The Allegany-Cattaraugus-Chautauqua Fund for Women (ACC FFW), a nonprofit investing in the lives of women in those communities in order to promote sustained self-sufficiency.

Napolitano holds a master's degree from AU in college student development and a B.A. in English from Mount Saint Mary College.
