In addition to her area of specialization in archaeology, Patricia Lauren has an interest in its links to Paleoecology and Paleontology.Her archaeological fieldwork includes both Archaeological Excavation and Archaeological Survey and analyses. Areas of fieldwork include:
- Mexico( Mixtec culture- classic and post-classic periods), I enjoyed the cultural interactive experience of living in Oaxacan farming villages;
- Chico, California (Maidu Native American Indian culture).
- Additionally, I had examined and analysed the functional use of metapodials (Capra/Ovis)
Doing archaeological illustration provided Lauren with the opportunity for artistic expression, providing a two-way dynamic interactive experience in which both instructor and students can explore and expand critical thinking.
