If you could time travel, what year (past or future) would you go to and why?

I would go to July 1969—the year man first landed on the moon. It was such a technological and societal achievement that the whole world watched and was inspired by that. I would love to have felt that sense of wonder and pride.

What's your favorite thing about New York Tech?

I really like that we have degrees that prepare students for the careers that are in demand today—and will be in the future. Our students come away with experience and an education that has prepared them to go straight into their careers, and that's the best value you can get from an education.

What's your best advice to students considering/applying to New York Tech?

Look at the research and projects being done on campus by faculty and students and see if it matches with what you're interested in&mash;and if not, ask if you will have the opportunity to start research/projects in the area of your interest.

Do you have any pets you want to brag about?

No pets, but if I could get a pet I'd get a dog. I live in the city and I just don't think it's fair to them to live in an apartment.

Favorite TV show?

New Girl. It's so funny and quirky and makes me laugh out loud.
