Mahnaz A. Tehrani attended Queens College City University, where she earned an MSLIS (May 1999) with specialty in Health Sciences Librarianship. Later, she attended NYIT School of Education and received an M.S.I.T. (Master of Sciences in Instructional Technology/Trainer Track).

In her role as instructional technology librarian, she provides interlibrary loan and  information services, including expert literature searching, techniques on navigating the world of online resources and publishing, to a range of professionals and students at NYITCOM and NYIT School of Health Professions. She also has developed online resources including Subject LibGuides, and library newsletter.

Tehrani has a desire to help and is sensitive to meeting the research needs of students and faculty. She is accessible by face-to-face consultation and online via LibChat. She is involved in local and national medical library organizations and serves on a number of library and medical committees.
