Ka-Kui Tse obtained his bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (with Distinction), and his Ph.D. in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Macau and a Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) at the National University of Singapore. His main research projects were focused on solar and energy-efficient buildings. Tse is now a licensed professional engineer in Vancouver, B.C., and is currently working as a building energy modeler in the Canadian construction industry. He has a great deal of expertise in the research of solar energy systems and possesses extensive experience in high-performance building design, building energy performance modeling, and simulation in Canada.
