Ian K. White, Ed.D., joined New York Tech in Feb. 2022. He is responsible for leading all Office of the Registrar activities, including the development of academic policies and calendars, degree requirements, curriculum, reporting and research, student records, compliance, and enhancing the student experience.

White joined New York Tech from Caldwell University, where he most recently was the assistant vice president for Academic Initiatives & Infrastructure, responsible for the registrar’s office, the Center for Advising, Records & Enrollment Services (CARES), career planning and development, and internal and external strategic initiatives. During his tenure at Caldwell, he also served as registrar and CARES director and as director of institutional research. His experience includes developing strategic initiatives to improve service to students and expand tactics to increase student retention and persistence, award prior learning/transfer credits, and establish corporate and academic partnerships; participating in the core curriculum committee; utilizing data mining for retention and persistence; overseeing new program development; and executing aspects of Caldwell’s strategic enrollment plan, including overhauling the transfer student experience. He has also taught graduate courses on topics related to higher education.

Prior to that, he was at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in the roles of academic programs manager, director of compliance for the academic auditing program, assistant registrar for data management and registrar for the School of Nursing.

Ian White holds an Ed.D. in Education Leadership from Caldwell University, an M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Saint Michael’s College (Colchester, Vt.).
