Francesca Fiore serves as associate provost. Prior to joining New York Tech, her nearly 20-year career in the nonprofit and higher education sectors focused on developing, implementing, and scaling programs that promote educational access and economic opportunity.

At New York Tech, she collaborates with various academic units to facilitate the development of innovative degree, certificate, and credential programs with high workforce demand potential. She also works with Academic Affairs staff, deans, and chairs on program reviews, proposals, and applications to the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) and with other departments to ensure accurate and consistent implementation of curriculum and other information internally and externally, including to accrediting bodies.

Francesca joined New York Tech from The New School, where she was vice dean of Strategy and Administration for the Schools of Public Engagement. There, she led the design and implementation of curricular development and the assessment of student learning outcomes and experiences, among other responsibilities. She also coordinated equity, inclusion, and social justice initiatives across the school. Prior to that, she led a portfolio of workforce development, business services, career and academic advisement, and professional programs for LaGuardia Community College as associate dean of Workforce Development and Business Services.

Fiore received her Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and also holds an M.P.A. from New York University, and both an M.A. in Economics an a B.A. from Hunter College.
