Chris Johnson is an architect and facade specialist. He is an associate in the New York office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, practicing as a member of their Enclosures Group. In addition to working on building projects, his research focuses on structural glass and alternate structural systems.

Formerly, Johnson was an associate principal at Werner Sobek New York, where he was director of the facades department, and he has also previously worked as an architect at several highly respected and accomplished design firms. He is licensed to practice architecture in Massachusetts and New York, and is a LEED-accredited professional as well as a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Johnson received an undergraduate degree (BA) in photography and a professional degree in architecture (BArch) from Drury University, and later attended Columbia University where he obtained a post-professional degree (MSAAD) in advanced architectural design.
