Construction Engineering Minor

Learn the fundamental principles of engineering and emerging technologies for the planning, design, and management of the construction processes. Expand your knowledge of construction engineering and will increase your job marketability beyond your major, especially for the highly in-demanded construction industries.

Upon successful completion of this minor, you'll be able to:

• Understand and calculate engineering stresses and strains.
• Understand the behavior of structural components and systems.
• Design and analyze structure elements and systems.

To add this minor:

• Fill out and sign the application form.
• Bring the signed copy for review and signature to the chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
• Bring the completed form to the Office of the Registrar or scan and email to registrar@nyit.edu.
