Campus Access Update

All students who plan to access campus during the spring semester must obtain a COVID-19 diagnostic test up to seven days prior to the start of their in-person classes and provide negative test results. Learn more about our reopening plans and our complete campus access policies.


Guest Wi-Fi Directions

  1. Select NYIT-Guest from your Wi-Fi settings
  2. From any web browser, navigate to a web site and you will be redirected to the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi device registration page
  3. Enter your first name, last name, email address, cell phone number and select your cellular carrier and submit
  4. A guest user name and number code will be texted to your cell phone along with the expiration date and time of your guest access
  5. You will be redirected to the NYIT Guest Wi-Fi login page
  6. Enter the user name and number code that was texted to the cell number you provided
  7. Check the box to agree to the usage policy
  8. You will then see a progress bar as you are joined to the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi

  • NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi registration supports only one device. If you have multiple devices, you may use the same cellular number but need to use a different email address.
  • If you use an email address to register on the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi, you cannot access any NYIT online resources from the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi network.
    • If you are an NYIT employee or student and accidently register for the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi on your mobile device, please manually disconnect the NYIT-Guest Wi-Fi network to avoid any NYIT service interruptions ('Disconnect' may also be known as 'Forget This Network' on your device).

To delete a saved Wi-Fi network from your phone or tablet:

  • Go to the Wi-Fi section of your settings menu.
  • Find the network you want to get rid of.
  • Long press it, then choose "Forget."
