Happy Feet

Ishan Mehta recently took over New York Tech’s Instagram. The founder of the Vancouver campus’s newly established hiking club Happy Feet, Mehta is all about exploring nature’s beauty and capturing it with his creative eye as a photographer. Here are a few fun facts about Mehta:

Originally from India, Mehta came to New York Tech to pursue a master’s degree in cybersecurity to make the Internet a better place for everyone. He started his career as a penetration tester (someone who performs tests to prevent cyberattacks) and plans to pursue a career in computer forensics.

Mehta started the hiking club as an opportunity to introduce New York Tech students to nature. “I think it will motivate people to go out and explore nature,” he says. “This helps us feel relaxed when we are busy and occupied in our daily lives.”
