A Message from President Foley
Dear New York Tech Students, Staff, and Faculty,

As we monitor what is happening with the Omicron variant, like everyone else responsible for a population’s health and well-being, we are concerned. At this point, we plan to hold intersession at New York Tech beginning on January 4 and ending on January 18. We also anticipate starting the spring semester on January 24 with mostly in-person classes.

However, because the Omicron variant is 70 times more transmissible than the Delta variant, the present situation could change rapidly over the holiday break and in the first two weeks of January. That means that our plans for teaching and learning may also have to change.

Throughout the break, we will be monitoring the situation closely and listening to guidance from city, county, state, and federal health officials. If our plans change, we will update you using all of our regular channels of communication. Please monitor your New York Tech accounts regularly over the next two weeks.

Sincerely,

Hank Foley's Signature
