Undergraduate Research and Entrepreneurship Program (UREP) provides undergraduate College of Engineering and Computing Sciences students with opportunities to work on research or entrepreneurship projects under the guidance of faculty mentors in a group setting. Each UREP team is awarded $500 throughout the duration of their study at NYIT to cover the cost of supplies and materials to engage in research activities. This year's projects include Spectrophotometer for Water Quality Sensing, Study of Cybersickness in Virtual Reality Environments, Machine Learning Approach to Large-Scale Social Media Data Analysis, Online Toxic Comment Detection, Glove for Autism Research, and more.

The event will kick off with Opening Remarks from Interim Dean, Babak D. Beheshti, PhD. Then each team will present their research posters with 5-minute "lightening pitches." Light refreshments will also be served.
