Take Back the Night 2021

April 15, 2021
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

New York Tech's New York City and Long Island campuses will be hosting Take Back the Night on April 15. Initiated in the 1970s in response to violent and sexual crimes against women, Take Back the Night is now an annual event on college campuses throughout the world. It is the mission of Take Back the Night to end sexual, relationship, and domestic violence and proclaim that each individual has the right to live free from violence.

Express your support for survivors by contributing an anonymous survivor story, a supportive ally message, a picture of original artwork or supportive poster, empowering poem, or video recording. Submit your contribution by April 7.

While sharing information about the impact of sexual assault and violence increases awareness, it may also be triggering to survivors. Our goal is to create a safe and empowering virtual event for both survivors and supporters. A list of resources will be provided ahead of the event, as well as an event agenda. We will also have a New York Tech counselor available for immediate support during the event.

We ask that no pictures, screenshots, or unauthorized recordings be made of this event.

Join us on April 15 as we come together to take a stand against sexual violence, offer support, share messages of hope, inspiring stories, and reflective artwork, and provide resources for those affected by sexual and domestic violence.

Zoom information will be provided only to those who register.
