Resume and Cover Letter Workshop

This workshop will highlight some of the main features of a North American-style resume. Learning about the resume format will help you understand what experiences you need to be successful.

Learing objectives

• Learn about the main features of the North American-style resume.
• Common sections of a resume and what information is contained within them.
• Learn the basics of cover letter format.
• Gain an understanding of what experiences you do have.
• What experiences you might want to gain while at NYIT.

The workshop will take place in the Computer Lab. You are welcome to use the computers in the Lab or can bring your own laptop. We will share a resume template and cover letter template.
