NYIT Goes to Washington

March 19, 2018 - March 20, 2018

Do you believe in a globally engaged and welcoming United States? This is your chance to make your voice heard and speak out for the issues that matter most!

International and Experiential Education sponsors two NYIT students to participate in NAFSA (National Association of Foreign Student Advisers) Advocacy Day 2018 in Washington, D.C. We will cover your travel costs, registration fee, and overnight stay.

After a day of training and strategizing, you will head to Capitol Hill with all the tools you need to educate Congress on how international education impacts you, your state, and your district. Personal meetings will be scheduled for you with your elected officials and their staff members in both the Senate and House of Representatives.

International education voices, stories, and experiences are essential to making an impact on Capitol Hill. Be one of them.

Interested? Apply by February 16 and tell us why you should be the one to go!
