New York Tech Votes: Voter Registration Training

September 17, 2020
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

This year’s U.S. national election on November 3 will determine more than just who will be president and vice-president of the country. Over one-third of the Senate and all the members of the House of Representatives are also up for election, and many state and local races and ballot measures will also be decided.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because they missed a registration deadline, failed to update their registration information, or didn't know how to register.

Learn how to register yourself and others to vote in a remote voter registration training facilitated by the League of Women Voters. You do not have to be a citizen to register others to vote!

New York Tech will also participate in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 22, when volunteers across the country will register people to vote and provide information on political institutions, organizations, and activities.

Register today to participate in our voter registration and other activities and to get information on other civic engagement initiatives throughout the semester.

This event is part of the New York Tech Votes initiative and part of our mission to build a civically engaged campus community.
