Imaging and Computational Technology for Biomedical Discovery

June 1, 2022
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Join Randy Stout, Ph.D., director of the NYITCOM Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI), for a discussion on microscopy and its use in biomedical research. He will describe some of the cutting-edge microscope technology employed at New York Tech over the past three years, highlighting some of the resulting discoveries, and discuss the new research facilities being built on the Long Island campus. He will also share his vision for a future for imaging technology that relies increasingly on computational approaches such as machine learning and artificial neural networks, along with his perspective on how imaging technology will impact professions outside of biological research.
