Homecoming 2018

Join us for the return of Homecoming to NYIT! This year, enjoy a variety of food from the chefs at NYIT Campus Dining and some of our favorite local food trucks, as well as a beer and wine garden. There will be live music by alumnus Andre Doughty (B.F.A. '14, M.A. '16) and entertainment from some of our student organizations, including the NYIT cheerleaders and Note-O-Chords, the a cappella group from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. With lawn games for all ages, kids' activities, and NYIT Bears sporting events, you won't want to miss this year's celebration!

Stop by the upper tennis courts to watch the defending East Coast Conference champions take on the Pioneers of LIU Post in the annual Battle of the Boulevard.

Hear directly from the deans of each of our colleges and schools in individual chats. Learn about what is new and what is upcoming to your academic school. Student speakers as well as department chairs may also be present. Coffee and water will be served.

Student Showcase*
Academic Quad Patio

Students from a variety of academic disciplines and student organizations will gather on the Academic Quad Patio to showcase their previous year's work and accomplishments. 

Campus Tours*
Meet in front of Wisser Library
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Take a tour of the grounds of the Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.) campus. See where Pixar first started, the location of the future Student Union, and much more. This is a walking tour with transportation available for tours headed to Ed Hall and Midge Karr.

SAC Field
12 – 5 p.m.

This is the can't-miss event of the weekend! Join us on the Student Activity Center (SAC) Field for a day of Bears pride. We will have a barbecue, food trucks, and beer tent, along with music, entertainment, carnival games, and inflatables. It's fun for all ages. You won't want to miss this!

NYIT Women's Soccer vs. Lincoln (Pa.)*
President's Stadium
12 – 2 p.m.

Bring your Bears pride over to President's Stadium and cheer on the women's soccer team as they battle the Lincoln (Pa.) College Lions in East Coast Conference action.

1 – 5 p.m.

Purchase your food and drink package and then meet your fellow Bears in the beer garden to reconnect, mingle, and reminisce about your college days.

Continue your support of the Bears over at President's Stadium as the men's soccer team battles the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds in East Coast Conference action.
