Civic Thursday: Get out the Vote Create-A-Thon Presentations

October 29, 2020
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Call for submissions!

Young voters are historically less likely than their older counterparts to turn out for elections. As a result, politicians tend to pay less attention to issues important to Millennials and Gen Z, including student debt, racial and environmental justice, and jobs programs.

We need YOU to change that! Our Get out the Vote Create-A-Thon is a great way for creative minds to partake in democracy by doing something you love—creating. We are looking for poetry, spoken word, videos, memes, gifs, art, and any other visual content that has to do with getting out the vote, filling out the census, and making sure our voices are heard!

The submission deadline is October 21 at 11:59pm.

Winners will be announced on October 29. All submissions will be exhibited in a virtual gallery. The first prize is a student profile on . Runners-up will be awarded a New York Tech “swag bag”.

Some ground rules:

  • Keep it G-rated.

  • Stay non-partisan.

  • Must be original content (with exception to meme format only, text must be original).

  • Submit your entry by October 21 at 11:59 p.m.

Submit your file.
