Chinese New Year Concert: Soprano Song Song on Broadway

Join us for a special Chinese New Year Concert featuring vocal performance by Chinese soprano Song Song, Associate Professor, Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Visiting Scholar, New York University.

The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a light reception starting at 5:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE PERFORMER

Song Song is a Chinese youth soprano maestro, an associate professor in the Department of Acting at the Shanghai Theatre Academy, where she also serves as an academic advisor for Master students. An experienced stage actress, Song has played leading roles in many large-scale operas in both China and Russia, as well as performed in many solo vocal concerts, contributing greatly to the artistic exchange and communication between the two countries. Having studied under the famous Chinese maestro singers and vocal educators, Professor Xiaoyan Zhou and Professor Kezheng Wen, Song has been a visiting scholar and lecturer at many world-famous universities, including New York University and Peking University. Her performances and activities have attracted great acclaim in the Chinese mainstream media, as she was cordially received by the previous Chinese president, Jintao Hu.
