Business Administration - Human Resource Management, B.S.

Career opportunities for human resources and labor relations professionals are expected to grow in the coming decade. Our AASCB-accredited human resource management program will introduce you to industry best practices and global HR strategies that will enhance workforce and organizational performance. Upon successfully completing our program, you’ll know how to formulate a talent management plan that will support and strengthen an organization’s strategy.

You’ll begin your studies with our Discovery Core liberal arts curriculum, and acquire an equally strong foundation across the spectrum of business-related academic disciplines through our business program core. You’ll learn to communicate clearly and concisely; compare, contrast, and apply basic ethical concepts; and illustrate cultural awareness and analyze the impact of globalization on business.

Upon completion of your B.S. degree, you’ll be able to:

  • Demonstrate competency and make decisions in all functional business disciplines.
  • Use technology as a decision support tool in business.
  • Conduct and utilize research to support business innovation.
  • Integrate functional disciplines together to affect sound policy making and business planning.

In addition, as a graduate of the Business Administration - Human Resource Management, B.S. program, you will have the skills to:

  • Recommend HR practices that enhance workforce and organizational performance
  • Apply principles of human behavior to the design of workforce practices
  • Evaluate the impact of globalization on workforce practices
  • Evaluate HR practices for compliance with employment and labor laws
  • Negotiate and recommend practices for establishing a productive relationship between labor and management
