SPRT 102 Esports Business, Health, and Society 3
This course provides students with an introduction to esports. Topics will include levels of esports competition, esports culture and ramifications, stakeholders in esports, governance structure, marking strategies, event management, and player and team management with reference to impacts on public health and wellness. Students will learn the language of the esports industry and become immersed in the unique aspects of competitive video gaming. Students will engage in critical thinking through exploration of the role of esports ecosystems on societies.

SBES 310 Small Business and Entrepreneurial Creation 3
A comprehensive examination of required skills, resources and techniques needed to transform an idea into a successful business enterprise. Students are introduced to a series of practical issues in the formation of a new business as well as evaluating whether a new product or service has market, financial, and management viability within the current economic environment.

A study of organizations and of the activities of a manager in an organization. The course follows a functional approach, analyzing such management concepts as organizing decentralization, use of staff, human relations, conflict, decision-making, planning , supervision, communication, and financial and production control systems such as budgeting and PERT.

MRKT 102 Introduction to Marketing 3
Study of the process by which consumers' needs and wants are analyzed and satisfied within the context of a modern marketing system. Investigation of current developments in the external environment affecting the marketing process. The role of marketing institutions in facilitating the flow of goods and services from producers to consumers is analyzed.

MRKT 345 Professional Selling and Digital Customer Relationship Management 3
Prerequisite: Prerequisite: MRKT 102.

Planning, supervising and evaluation of sales force efforts within the guidelines set by strategic marketing planning are the principal responsibilities of sales managers. This course examines both the theory and practices which are encompassed within the role of sales manager.

MRKT 422 Marketing of New Products and Transformative Innovation 3
Prerequisite: Prerequisite: MRKT 102 and junior/senior status

Techniques and practices applied to conceptualizing, developing, launching and managing new products, and implementing transformative innovation. An in-depth evaluation of the product life-cycle will analyze its various stages and how careful planning and management will extend it. The product management concept and its effectiveness as a management tool will also be studied.

SBES 420 Entrepreneurial Technology and Innovation Management 3
Prerequisite: Prerequisite: SBES 310

An evolutionary process perspective of how technology (scientific, engineering, IT) strategy contributes to launch an innovation. Topics discussed include technological competences and capabilities, sources and patterns of innovation, creativity, innovation processes, collaborating, and market entry dynamics. This course will cover content relevant to both entrepreneurial enterprises and large corporations developing technological innovations. Case-based learning and a final project will be employed in the course.
