As a team, the Office of Communications and Marketing (C&M) is responsible for strategically advancing the message and mission of NYIT in order to enhance its image and bring greater awareness of what we have to offer across all media platforms. We creatively and proactively curate and develop content for our responsive-design website, award-winning ad campaigns, social media, The Box news blog, NYIT Magazine, a range of print publications, videos, and through media relations campaigns. We also actively seek publicity about NYIT and organize programs, events, and exhibitions that showcase our university and our students.

About the Awards
PRSA (Public Relations Society of America): New York Chapter

Big Apple Awards: given by the Public Relations Society of America, NY chapter, encourages excellence in public relations and are judged on research, planning, execution and results. The competition is open to all communications professionals in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and implemented anywhere in the world. Today, a Big Apple Award is recognized as one of the highest honors bestowed in the field.

Circle of Excellence Awards Program: Bronze CASE Winner

CASE Circle of Excellence: recognizes outstanding work nationwide in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) member institutions worldwide. They are judged by peer professionals at schools, colleges and universities as well as by professionals from outside education. In 2017, there were more than 3,300 entries for consideration.

Collegiate Advertising Awards

Collegiate Advertising Awards: an elite national program created to honor today’s most talented marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion specific to higher education products and services.

Communicator Awards

Communicator Awards: the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. Founded over two decades ago, The Communicator Awards receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

Davey Awards

Davey Awards: an international creative award focused on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small agencies worldwide. The 2016 awards received nearly 4,000 entries.

Education Digital Marketing Awards

Education Digital Marketing Awards: recognizes the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media. This year, over 1,000 entries were received from colleges, universities and secondary schools.

Interactive Media Awards

Interactive Media Awards: created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and recognizes the highest standards of excellence in website design and development.

Mercury Excellence Awards

Mercury Awards: honors the best in international public relations, public affairs and corporate communications. Entries came from over 65 nations this year.

Service Industry Advertising Awards

Service Industry Advertising Awards: the only advertising awards to specifically recognize the advertising achievements in the service industry. Over 1,900 entries were received in this year’s competition.
