NYIT Students Design Peace Ornaments for CityArts Project

December 8, 2015

'Tis the season for world peace—and holiday cheer! Students from NYIT and New York high schools applied their artistry and tech savvy to design peace-themed 3-D ornaments for the holiday tree in Manhattan's Lincoln Square. The project was initiated by the nonprofit CityArts and included NYIT students from the College of Arts and Sciences and schools of Architecture and Design and Engineering and Computing Sciences.

The students used computer modeling software and MakerBot 3-D printers to create the ornaments. Their designs were unveiled when the tree was lit on Nov. 30 at Winter's Eve in Lincoln Square, New York City's largest holiday festival. ABC News covered the event.
