The weather outside was frightful, but that didn’t stop more than 100 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends from enjoying Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square. The annual event, one of New York City’s largest holiday festivals, is held on NYIT-New York City’s doorstep and features live music, food stands, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. NYIT joined in the festivities with several events. At a reception for alumni, students, and friends at NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, guests warmed up with light appetizers, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider; took “awkward family photos;” and decorated holiday ornaments. The event was co-hosted by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Student Engagement. Down the street in the lobby of 1855 Broadway, the community took photos with our mascot, who was appropriately dressed for the holidays. See more pictures below.
