News Byte: VIP Gala Raises Record Amount

On March 7, students, friends, family, alumni, and donors attended the New York Institute of Technology VIP Fundraising Dinner Gala at The Crescent Beach Club in Bayville, N.Y., in support of the Vocational Independence Program.

New York Tech President Hank Foley, Ph.D., welcomed guests in his opening remarks. This was the most successful fundraiser to date, raising more than $44,000 with all sponsorship levels sold out. The Costello Family, a Platinum sponsor, was this year’s largest donor and was honored at the event. Jim and Jackie Costello’s son is a current VIP student.

For over 30 years, VIP has been helping young adults with learning differences and Autism spectrum diagnoses live fulfilling lives on their own.
