News Byte: Better Late than Never for Joint M.B.A. Program Graduates

January 22, 2021

While the global pandemic kept members of the 19th cohort of the New York Institute of Technology-JUFE M.B.A. class from celebrating their graduation at a traditional ceremony in May 2020, later was better than never for this group of 40 graduates. On December 26, most of the joint program’s Class of 2020 was able to come together for a graduation celebration in Shanghai.

“This event was very successful and well organized, thanks to the strong leadership committee formed by the students,” noted Scott Liu, School of Management professor and executive associate dean for global programs, including the JUFE joint M.B.A. program, which welcomed its 21st cohort in 2020. “This was a very touching moment for the students.”

President Hank Foley, Ph.D., and Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations Patrick Minson, M.B.A., M.P.A., shared their congratulations with the group of graduates via video, while dignitaries from JUFE were also in attendance to celebrate their achievements.

“Congratulations to all of our M.B.A. graduates,” said President Foley. “May your new degree and learning bring you much success and fulfillment, in this year and for the years to come. You’ve studied hard and now you’ll enjoy the benefits of your efforts.”
