Celebrate Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month and March 8 is International Women’s Day. The Box rounds up some of the stories highlighting women doing great things. Read the stories below, many of which feature the incredible women of New York Institute of Technology, and explore our profiles to see how women are leading the way and inspiring the next generation.
There are many ways to participate in Women’s History Month, both on and off campus, including by attending our Women’s Corporate Council Launch, a newly formed group of female leaders whose goal it is to empower and inspire others within the NYIT community and beyond. Visit the NYIT events calendar to find more discussions and gatherings (events will be updated throughout the month—and don’t forget to submit one of your own) or support other initiatives led by women around the world. The National Women’s History Alliance is a good place to start your research, and you can also search online to find something that speaks to you.
