NYIT Honors JUFE M.B.A. Graduates and 20-Year Partnership

April 24, 2018

Officials from NYIT and longtime partner Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) gathered for a graduation ceremony in Nanchang, China in honor of 120 new M.B.A.s, the first graduates from NYIT’s Class of 2018.

NYIT President Hank Foley, Ph.D., was in Nanchang to congratulate the graduates. “My challenge to you, NYIT M.B.A. graduates,” he said, “is that you apply the perspective, knowledge, and skills that you have acquired with us to a global landscape.” The ceremony also included advice from JUFE President Lu Fucai, Vice President Wang Xiaoping, Vice President Liu Xiaoli, and other proud supporters.

At other special events, President Foley, Interim Provost Lou Reinisch, other senior NYIT staff members, and NYIT alumni and supporters celebrated the 20th anniversary of NYIT’s relationship with JUFE, the university’s oldest partner in China.

The program, in which NYIT School of Management faculty members travel to China for intensive classes, has educated more than 1,500 M.B.A. graduates. One of the earliest international M.B.A. programs offered in China, it has been led from its outset by School of Management Associate Dean for Global Programs Scott Liu, Ph.D.

Dozens of members of this JUFE cohort will also attend NYIT’s 57th Commencement on May 22, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island.
