Soohee Lee is a registered architect in New York State. She received a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University in New York and a master’s degree in landscape architecture and urban design from Seoul National University in South Korea. Her bachelor’s degree in architecture is from SungKyunKwan University in South Korea.

After graduating from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in 2004, Lee worked for Kohn Pedersen Fox for 4 years. Since then, she has been running her own practice, SAN-Soohee Lee Architect P.C. (DBA: SAN), which is based in New York City.

Through her 20 years of comprehensive academic and work experience in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture, Lee has become a master of scaling designs from minute details to urban scale. She has worked on a wide variety of projects around the world, including hospitality, institutional, mixed-use commercial, high-rise office complexes, and sustainable community developments.

Lee holds architectural licenses in the United States and South Korea, and she is a LEED AP (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional); her firm, SAN, is a New York State-certified MWBE.
