Reza Ghaeli has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering/Transportation from University of Waterloo, Canada, and is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia. Ghaeli has a proven track record in both industry and academia and has a wide range of experience in advanced business analytics, computer programming, traffic engineering, and transportation economics. He is currently a full-time faculty at the Computer Studies Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Douglas College, teaching courses in advanced web programming and big data analytics. He has worked in the development of smart traffic control systems, predictive parking management systems, and predictive claims management systems for a large insurance company. His wide areas of expertise in engineering and technology, software development, education, and transportation planning, as well as business management, provide him with a unique combination of skills as an advisor and consultant for projects involving application of advanced technologies.
