Reine Bethany, a former dancer, is a longtime copyeditor and freelance writer. She obtained her English M.A. from Wright State University, danced with the Dayton Ballet Company, and ran a ballet school in the D.C. metropolitan area. Upon moving to New York, she performed with the Joyce Trisler Danscompany, wrote articles for two Brooklyn papers, and home-schooled her four children (a veterinary clinical pathologist, an actor/musician, a dancer, and a pilot). She continues writing, editing, and adjunct teaching.
