Banu Mutlu, Ph.D., brings over 20 years of expertise in finance, regulatory practice, and academia. Prior to joining New York Tech, she served at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority of Turkey, where she led major bank audits and developed regulatory frameworks. Her research lies at the intersection of finance, FinTech, and risk management, with a particular focus on applying machine learning to credit risk and consumer finance. At Rutgers University, she pioneered one of the institution’s first FinTech courses, seamlessly integrating blockchain, digital assets, and Python-based applications to bridge theory with practice.
