Dr. Anu Raj is a clinical psychologist with special expertise in autism/Asperger's, depression, anxiety, tics, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Raj graduated with a doctorate of psychology from Long Island University in 2002, and is involved with various professional boards and professional organizations, including the New York State Psychological Association and the Suffolk County Psychological Association.

At the W. Kenneth Riland Academic Health Care Center, Raj provides psychological treatment, conducts comprehensive evaluations, facilitates case-based learning for first-year medical students, and participates in research studies that contribute to scholarly knowledge, including the work of the Center for Behavioral Health. Outside of her work at New York Tech, she also sees children and adults at the office of a community-based practitioner in Syosset, N.Y., where she conducts neuropsychological assessments and provides treatment for patients suspected of a range of academic, behavioral and emotional difficulties. These include Asperger Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, AD/HD, tics, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, depression, and anger management.

Prior to joining NYITCOM, Raj held roles in private practice as well as academic appointments at Long Island University’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program, where she continues to serve as an adjunct, and Adelphi University’s Derner Institute. She also holds a New York State Bilingual Certificate in Hindi.
