School of Architecture & Design Lectures & Events
The School of Architecture & Design continues to host lectures & events virtually using Zoom.
2022 Theme: Communities
The Spring 2022 Lectures and Events series at New York Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Design focuses on various forms of inequality and inequity — wealth, education, and access to vital resources and infrastructure — and their impact on our communities.
Historically, wealth inequality correlates strongly with ecological inequality, with environmental degradation impacting poorer, more fragile communities, fueling larger and more intertwined systemic crises. This series of public events offers opportunities to discuss and debate how the application of architecture, design, digital arts, and urbanism in this context can achieve positive impact, innovate, and be of benefit to specific communities, our cities, and our planet as a whole.
