What’s your favorite thing about New York Tech?

NYIT-Long Island is beautiful and reminds me of my alma mater, Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. It's close to the city, yet feels like it's in the countryside. For me, it is a great location for an experience of an a traditional college campus without being too far from NYC.

The NYIT-New York City campus is in a great location. Columbus Circle is a bustling epicenter of Manhattan, close to Central Park, to Lincoln Center and great Manhattan neighborhoods. The proximity of the buildings makes it feel like students are on a campus in the heart of NYC.

Why should students choose New York Tech?

New York Tech offers some of the most competitive and relevant academic majors out there. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are the most sought-after fields, and New York Tech offers a variety of programs, plus great campus locations and excellent facilities and faculty.

What’s your best advice to students considering New York Tech?

When researching your major, also research possible career opportunities related to that major and remember to think outside of the box. Your degree doesn't dictate what you have to do, rather it opens up new opportunities that were never before available to you.

What’s your favorite vacation destination?

So far it has been Thailand, but there are so many other places in the world that I want to visit.

What are you doing when you’re not at work?

I like to do anything outside—hiking, kayaking, biking, skiing, running, you name it— if I can be outside and out of the city, I'm game!
