Registration

NYIT-Abu Dhabi makes every effort to provide complete registration information prior to the registration period via the academic calander. The most up-to-date information is available from the faculty coordinator in E block. Program offerings for each semester can also be obtained from the faculty coordinator or the receptionist in A block. Students must register during the registration period prior to the start of each semester in order to attend NYIT classes.

Advising/Registration

No appointments are necessary for advising. Faculty members post their advising hours two weeks prior to the start of the semester and are available during these periods. Students can come for advising at their convenience during faculty advising times. After advising, students should go to the registration office to have their registration forms stamped. It's important to note that students assume the final responsibility for conforming to all college regulations and completing  curriculum requirements.

Payments

Payments should be made at the accounts office in A block. Early registration within the period designated asures the most flexible choice of classes.

Change of Program

Students are permitted to add and drop courses during add/drop week (the first week of the semester) after consulting with an advisor.

Withdrawal from a Course

Withdrawal from a course is a serious matter and should only be made after consulting with the course instructor both of whom have to complete a withdrawal form. Students can obtain the form from the faculty coordinator in E block. Students should be aware that withdrawal can result in a withdrawal/fail grade that impacts students' cumulative grade point average.
