AD Grad Students Share Expertise in NY
Two NYIT-Abu Dhabi School of Management (SoM) students ended a trip to the United States with a visit to NYIT’s Old Westbury campus, where they presented their research to SoM faculty members, two deans, and staff from NYIT’s office of Communications and Marketing.
Robin Carvalho and Aya Wadi, M.B.A. students (2015), were in the U.S. to present scholarly work about university websites at an academic conference. Beyond their interactions with other business scholars, however, they shared a specialized analysis of NYIT-Abu Dhabi’s web presence with NYIT colleagues who themselves influence the shape of this website.
Regular visitors to NYIT.edu/united_arab_emirates will have noticed new features over the past several months, including profiles
of Abu Dhabi students and staff, social media links
, and more frequently updated news items
. In addition to these changes, Robin and Aya’s research recommends an increased emphasis on local Abu Dhabi culture, better navigability, and other improvements.
SoM Dean Jess Boronico congratulated Aya and Robin for their research as well as for "making an impact." He called them “exemplars of student leadership at its finest.”
